While previous findings—such as a commit regarding OEM logos and Dell's official carbon footprint documentation—already confirmed the "Dell XPS Googlebook DX13267" moniker, a 13.4-inch display, and a weight of 1.1 kg, this latest leak re-confirms the CPU and RAM specifications while also hinting at the OS name.
CPU and RAM Specs Match Previous Leaks
Earlier Geekbench listings linked a development board codenamed "Mica" with a device named "XPS DX13267," indicating that Dell was developing an XPS-branded Googlebook.
While benchmark results suggested Dell's Googlebook would come equipped with a Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100 paired with 16GB or 32GB of RAM, the Energy Star certification database now officially lists a model registered under the name "Dell XPS Googlebook DX13267" with the model number "P212G", featuring a Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100 and 32GB of RAM.
The certification details also confirm that the device is equipped with a touchscreen display.
OS Name Likely to Be "Googlebook OS"
As previously reported in a document for Lenovo AI Mouse for Googlebook (M830) published on Lenovo's official website a few days ago, the OS name listed in this latest certification document is also "Googlebook OS."
Initially, the operating system was provisionally referred to as "Aluminium OS," named after "Aluminium," the internal project merging Android and ChromeOS. However, Google never officially acknowledged this name, leaving the formal OS branding unconfirmed.
While some near-official documentation published earlier used the name Aluminium OS, recent materials consistently refer to it as Googlebook OS, suggesting this could be the official commercial name.
Pre-Orders Set to Open on September 21
While full details regarding Googlebook and its operating system have yet to be disclosed, it has been announced that pre-orders for Googlebook will open on September 21 at 9:00 AM EDT.
Given that pre-orders are launching, it is highly likely that comprehensive details will be officially revealed at that time.
Based on current information, the first wave of Googlebook releases is expected to include at least six models across five manufacturers: ASUS, Acer, Dell, HP, and Lenovo.
