What We Know So Far
Along with the pre-order announcement, Google released a brief teaser video featuring an animation transitioning from Magic Pointer to Glow Bar—both previously revealed Googlebook features. Consequently, the video offered no new structural information.
What is currently known is that the initial lineup of Googlebooks will be released by five hardware partners: ASUS, Acer, Dell, HP, and Lenovo, powered by processors from Intel, MediaTek, and Qualcomm.

Of these, full specifications have only been officially confirmed for the Lenovo Googlebook i (15”, 12). Detailed specs for the remaining five models remain unconfirmed, although development records, Geekbench benchmark scores, and retail leaks have revealed key hardware details, including CPU and RAM configurations.
Regarding software and operating system features, details remain limited outside of official disclosures and APK teardowns. Notably, the OS naming convention has been inconsistent: while provisionally referred to as Aluminium OS (ALOS)—with references to "Aluminium Premium" in hardware documentation—recent Lenovo leaks list the system as "Googlebook OS."
