Previous research suggested that the Googlebook codenamed "Mica" would belong to Dell's flagship XPS lineup. Official documentation has now confirmed the product name as "XPS Googlebook DX13267."
This revelation comes from well-known leaker Evan Blass, who spotted the name within what appears to be an official Dell carbon footprint document.
Is the XPS Series Brand Confirmed?
Previously, information from development updates and Geekbench listings pointed to "Mica" being a Dell Googlebook. References to "XPS DX13267" hinted at an entry into Dell's premium XPS line—a series that never saw a Chromebook release.
The latest document firmly confirms the name "XPS Googlebook DX13267," establishing that the device will officially launch under Dell's top-tier consumer laptop series.
The document also details a 13.4-inch display size and a weight of approximately 1.1 kg. These specs mirror the Windows-based Dell XPS 13 DX13260, pointing toward similar performance and physical proportions.
A More Affordable Model Is Also in Development
While benchmarks show that the XPS Googlebook DX13267 (Mica) features a Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100 processor with 16GB or 32GB of RAM, Dell appears to be working on a more accessible model as well.
Codenamed "Annite," this lower-cost model shares most of its design with "Mica." Code commits mention that "successful OS boot has been confirmed on Mica." Because the developer behind these commits is the same individual working on Mica, Annite is highly likely to be another Dell device.
A subsequent code investigation revealed that unlike Mica, Annite is powered by a Snapdragon X Plus X1P-42-100 processor. This indicates Dell's second Googlebook will be a budget-conscious option, though further details are still sparse and it remains unclear whether it will carry XPS branding.
Heading Toward September 21 Pre-Orders
Google has announced that pre-orders for Googlebooks will launch on September 21, though detailed specifications for individual devices have not yet been published.
With a Googlebook reveal event scheduled for October 5, further details are expected to surface around the September 21 pre-order date.
Based on available information, five major manufacturers—ASUS, Acer, Lenovo, HP, and Dell—are expected to release at least six Googlebook models in total.
