A new development board named "Libra" has been added to Google's "Ocelot" reference board family for Intel Core Series 3 (Wildcat Lake) Googlebooks currently under development.
An examination of the currently public source code revealed details about its form factor, power delivery, keyboard specifications, and information from the developer pointing toward the manufacturer.
Specifications Confirmed in Code
According to the initial public commit, Libra is built on the "ocelotrvp-ite" reference board. Several specifications for Libra can be gleaned from the published code:
-
Clamshell form factor
-
Single cooling fan
-
Tenkeyless keyboard layout
-
Backlit keyboard
-
2× USB-C ports (USB4 capable)
-
Up to 65W charging
-
SMP battery

Regarding the form factor, physical volume buttons on the side are disabled, and the power button behavior and lid open/close detection suggest a clamshell laptop rather than a 2-in-1 convertible.
For connectivity, it features two USB-C ports supporting up to 65W charging. While both ports are capable of supporting USB4, this feature isn't finalized and may remain disabled in production.
The keyboard is a compact tenkeyless layout equipped with backlighting.
Likely a Dell Googlebook
The developer behind the Libra commit uses an email address from major contract manufacturer Luxshare. This same developer previously worked on the Dell XPS Googlebook "Mica" and "Annite," a Snapdragon X Plus model also expected to be manufactured by Dell.
Luxshare is a primary supplier for Dell laptops. Given that the same developer is handling Libra, it is highly probable that Libra is being developed as a Dell Googlebook.
Furthermore, battery references specify "smp,smp-hpt-4-122." This naming convention aligns with "smp,smp-atl-4-550" seen in the Dell XPS Googlebook Mica, a pattern typical of Dell devices.

Both the developer credentials and the battery configuration code strongly point to Libra being a Dell model.
However, specs and battery vendors can change as development progresses.
Core Series 3 Rollout and Expected Timeline
Currently identified boards in the Ocelot family powered by Intel Core Series 3 (Wildcat Lake) include:
-
Ojal: Unknown manufacturer
-
Matsu: Acer model
-
Kodkod: Unknown manufacturer
-
Ocicat: HP convertible model
-
Hekla: ASUS model
-
Coolum: HP clamshell model
-
Blanc: Lenovo clamshell model
-
Libra: Dell clamshell model
With early boards like Ojal and Kodkod alongside entries from Lenovo, HP, Acer, and ASUS, the addition of the Dell-bound Libra brings the Ocelot family to eight variants. This indicates major PC vendors are actively preparing Wildcat Lake devices.
Keep in mind these insights stem from early development code; final production specs and branding may differ.
Unlike first-generation flagship Googlebooks targeting premium price tiers, Intel Core Series 3 (Wildcat Lake) models are positioned for mainstream and budget-friendly segments.
Since Libra is in early development, don't expect a commercial release before early 2027 at the earliest.
