Following the recent discovery of the "Lenovo Pen Pro for Googlebook" stylus in FCC filings, a new dedicated mouse for the platform—the "AI Mouse M830"—has now been spotted.

While dedicated Chromebook accessories have traditionally been limited to styluses and keyboards (primarily for Chromeboxes), it appears the Googlebook ecosystem will introduce a purpose-built mouse equipped with a dedicated "AI key."

Lenovo AI Mouse M830 specs and design

According to the documents submitted to the FCC under the model name A5M-M830, photographs of the device reveal a Googlebook logo on its underside, confirming its status as an exclusive accessory for the platform.

The mouse measures 118.97 x 61.37 x 38.33 mm and weighs in at a lightweight 59g (±2g). It features Bluetooth connectivity and charges via USB-C. The built-in 800 mAh battery is rated to last approximately 20 days with the LEDs off, and around 32 hours with them turned on.

Features: The AI key and RGB lighting

Alongside the standard side buttons—configured out-of-the-box for "forward" and "back" navigation—the mouse features a distinct "AI key" located just below the scroll wheel.

While the exact functionality of this button remains unconfirmed, its name strongly suggests deep integration with system-level AI features. It could potentially trigger cursor-integrated tools like "Magic Pointer" or summon Google's Gemini assistant.

Additionally, although not immediately visible in the provided images, the filings indicate the presence of an RGB light strip. This detail shares a striking resemblance to the "Glow Bar" expected to debut on the Googlebook.

Rounding out the hardware, the bottom of the mouse houses a power switch, a DPI adjustment button, and a pairing button capable of switching between up to two connected devices.

Interestingly, a closer look at the underside reveals a corrugated, washboard-like texture. This design choice subtly echoes the aesthetic of the Pixelbook Go and the latest Lenovo Chromebook Plus series, maintaining a familiar and cohesive design language across the ecosystem.

The takeaway: A growing Googlebook ecosystem

At this point, it remains unclear whether the AI Mouse M830 will come bundled in the box with the Googlebook or be sold as a standalone accessory.

However, hot on the heels of the recently spotted "Lenovo Pen Pro for Googlebook," the emergence of this new mouse makes one thing perfectly clear: Lenovo is actively building out a comprehensive lineup of dedicated accessories for the platform.

As a refresher, Lenovo currently has two Googlebook models in development—codenamed "Ruby" and "Sapphire"—both of which are expected to launch as part of the initial wave of devices arriving in the fall of 2026.
